About Me

If you speak English, Spanish and/or French, I can help you in your mother tongue as I am fluent in all three languages.

I was born in Quito, Ecuador, where Spanish is spoken. My family immigrated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada when I was five years old. Needless to say, I went to French school as Quebec is one of the two French provinces in Canada. I learned English as a second language. In 2003, I married a wonderful man whose roots are well established in beautiful Colorado, seven generation Longmont resident to be exact, and immigrated to continue with the legacy. In my leisure time, I love woodworking, gardening, trying new recipes, crocheting, knitting and creating art in Publisher. We love cruising, visiting new places, trying new foods and appreciating this beautiful world we live in.

In 2007, I began my career with New York Life as an agent and Financial Services Professional with NYLIFE Securities LLC. I do not see myself doing anything else. Every day, I go to bed knowing I helped improve the lives of the people I met. There is no greater feeling than finding joy in the service of others.

For this reason, I have become involved throughout the years with many organizations who work hard at finding ways to improve the lives of those they serve.

  • In 2007, I became an active member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Denver. Their mission is to promote and advance the growth of Hispanic businesses. In 2011, I was a finalist for the “Chamber Advocate of the Year Award” at the 25th Anniversary Awards Luncheon and won the award in 2014. I was also a finalist for the "Business Woman of the Year Award" in 2015. I have served on several committees at the Chamber over the years.

  • From July 2010-July 2012, I served as Secretary for the Boulder Valley Local of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). NAIFA works extremely hard to defend our clients rights in front of Government such as tax reform, pension bill issues, insurance regulatory reform, associated health plans, fraudulent health insurance plans, to only name a few.

  • In 2011, I began collaborating with "Creciendo Con Tu Camara" and "Arriba Mi Negocio" with Agnes Talamantez-Carroll and a group of professionals to provide business education to Hispanic business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. We provide monthly workshops on relavant topics, such as but not limited to: accounting, marketing, insurance, contracts, networking, employee retention, etc.

  • From November 2010 to September 2016, l served on the "Public Affairs Council" as Ethnic Outreach Specialist for the Longmont Colorado Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint which I belong. My role was to help build relationships with different Ethnic groups in the Longmont area and seek service opportunities to better the lives of our residents.

  • From August 2011 to November 2014, I serve on the “Youth Task Force Committee” at the Ed and Ruth Lehman YMCA in Longmont. I represent the business community. I felt blessed to work with some wonderful community leaders who work for the City of Longmont, St Vrain Valley School District and various non-profit organizations. We focused on creating and implementing programs that helped more children (ages 3-8) have accessibility to education from Pre-K to the first few years of school. Some of these programs complemented the ones offered by the school district. Some were before and after-school programs during the year and summer break. Results were successful and measurable. On a side note, this programs also helped parents value education and learn how to live healthier and more productive lives that are not threatened by looming health costs or lack of education.

  • From September 2016 to April 2019, I serve as Second Counselor in the Longmont Colorado Stake Relief Society Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My role was to assist the President in supporting the local ward presidencies in the Longmont, Frederick, Firestone, Lyons, Berthoud, and Estes Park areas, who serve the sisterhood of the church. As of April 2019, I serve as President of this organization and we seek opportunities to unite our sisterhood and our communities.

  • As a former paralegal in Canada, I worked for a law firm that specialized in estate planning, corporate litigation, workers compensation and family law. This experience gave me the tools to recognize loop-holes in someone's financial strategy. In addition, l worked in retail sales and on the management side of commercial leasing and franchising; this knowledge has given me firsthand experience in understanding the complexities of business continuation planning.

  • Since 2005, I became more active in my family's full-service landscaping and maintenance business as vice-president. I understand the complexities that a business owner faces on a day to day basis. This experience helps me understand and better serve my business clients with their business planning.

My search for knowledge is on-going and I pursue higher education in my field as I am determined to keep pace with changes in the world that may affect my clients' plans. In August 2011, I obtained by LUTCF professional designation.

My goal as a Financial Services Professional is to use my knowledge and experience to help individuals, families and businesses put a strategy in place to reach their goals and dreams, particularly in protecting, accumulating and distributing their wealth.

Many believe that they are "all set" and they may very well be, but experience has shown me that a second opinion always makes good sense. If you knew you had to undergo a major surgery and would have time, wouldn't you get a second opinion?
